Deutsch-Georgische Summer School

Vom 21.9.-29.9.25 fand eine Deutsch-Georgische Summer School zur Bildung für nachhaltige Entwicklung in Tiflis (Georgien) statt.

Die Summer School, organisiert vom Institut für Geographiedidaktik und dem Institut für Deutsche Sprache und Literatur II in Kooperation mit der Ilia-Universität in Tiflis (Georgien), war ein voller Erfolg. Sie bot den Teilnehmenden die Möglichkeit, sich intensiv mit globalen und lokalen Nachhaltigkeitsproblemen auseinanderzusetzen und dabei innovative Lehrmethoden sowie den Einsatz digitaler Medien und OER kennenzulernen.

Durch Seminare, Workshops, Exkursionen und ein vielfältiges Kulturprogramm konnten fundierte Kenntnisse zu aktuellen Herausforderungen und Lösungsansätzen im Bereich Bildung für nachhaltige Entwicklung (BNE) erworben werden.

Besonders hervorzuheben ist der enge internationale Austausch: Die Summer School hat maßgeblich dazu beigetragen, ein starkes Netzwerk zwischen Studierenden und Lehrenden aus beiden Ländern aufzubauen. Die praktischen Erfahrungen und gemeinsamen Diskussionen haben die Teilnehmenden optimal darauf vorbereitet, Nachhaltigkeitsthemen künftig in ihre Lehrpraxis zu integrieren und neue Impulse für internationale Zusammenarbeit zu setzen

Call for Applications

This summer school is organized by the Institute of Geography Education and the Department of German Language and Literature II in cooperation with Ilia University in Tbilisi (Georgia). It imparts knowledge about global and local sustainability problems as well as innovative teaching methods and media to promote education for sustainable development. An international network for future cooperation will be established, and through exchange and practical experience, students will be better prepared to integrate sustainability issues into their teaching practice. Seminars, workshops, excursions and cultural programs are offered.

 

Contents

  • Problems and solutions: Providing in-depth knowledge of the most pressing problems of unsustainable developments in Germany and Georgia. Participants develop solutions and evaluate possible courses of action in the education sector.
  • Reflection on teaching projects: Analysis of German and Georgian approaches to education for sustainable development (ESD). Students reflect on differences and develop ideas for their lessons.
  • Linguistic and content-related learning: promoting language and specialist skills for communicating complex sustainability topics.
  • Innovative media and OER: Introduction to the use of digital, freely accessible teaching materials to strengthen ESD in university teaching. Students learn how to use OER to develop teaching materials and discuss their potential for a broader establishment of ESD
