The special issue “Didactic Approaches in Cartography” builds upon the international conference “Map Making! Educational Potential, Didactic Approaches, and German–French Perspectives,” which was organized by Benoît Goffin and Alexandra Budke at the University of Cologne in June 2025. In this manner, the issues and findings discussed at the international conference are made available to a wider audience.
